The Easter Bunny!

That awkward moment when your daughter innocently unbeknownstly puts her hand on the Easter Bunny's goods and leaves it there!

Do you say something and make it weird or ignore and take a photo?! We'll you see what I opted for!

Otherwise, a cute pic!

Door to door sales

As if i already didn't ::love:: awkward door to door solicitors.

Set scene:
Doorbell rings.
Dog goes ballistic.
Children swarm under my feet and show off in excitement that someone's at the door.
Me, cursing myself for opening the curtain because they can see me sitting on my couch and I can't ignore them.

The climatic greeting amongst the craziness in my house....
'Hi! Is your mom home?'

If I was more awesome i'd have said 'no' but a) I'm not too quick on the wit and b) my darn bleeding heart always gets in the way, it is her job after all, help a sister out.

After she left Wyatt says to me 'so did you order some candy?' Guess he took as much from that conversation as I did, all I know was it had to do with a new Internet in our area.

Guess I better get off here and vamp it up a bit. I'm going bowling with the hubs and his siblings tonight. I don't want anyone thinking Adams a creepy cradle robber. I thought I was past this stage, I'm pushing 30 here in a couple years after all!

Glasses - Take 2

I answered Hubs fun photo series just now.

His glasses came in the mail today while he too is at work.

He wanted frameless glasses which I think is weird. Like is he trying to fool people into thinking he's not actually wearing glasses? Mostly It just a little joke between us & i just like to annoy him! Although his reasons are pretty legit - ( the frame is distracting ), I just thought the concept was strange. Surprisingly they don't look that weird.

Anywho. Clearly I'm not that naturally funny that he is. And actually the photos make me look really gross. But if you cant have fun, what good are you anyway!

Happy Friday!

Glasses

So I ordered glasses online for Adam and I because I got a super great deal! Mine came in the mail today and I was excited to see if they looked like I thought.

I knew it was a long shot but I asked him to put them on and take a pic.

Much to my surprise, this series of photos followed. I put them in a collage for fun.

I just love that crazy man, he's quite unpredictable!

PS - his mom didn't even know that was him on the right which makes it even funnier!

Hey Mom?!

I really really really lobe you.
::heard at least 10 times a day ... And never gets old::

I really really really love you too baby.

Inspiration

Kids are sponges and watch everything we do. This is something I've heard and knew. But when you're living life often it doesn't dawn on you.

At Aldi's on Sunday we had a cart full. A gentleman behind us had two items so I told him to go ahead of us. Wyatt asked why I did that and I explained to him that it's kind as he had far fewer items than us.

That little boy looked straight into my eyes, said 'awwwww' and brought his face to mine and hugged me. He said that's so nice mom.

In that moment it touched me so much that he saw such a little gesture as so wonderful.

It made me feel so good and inspired me to want to do bigger and better. I want to instill kindness in my children and I too want to make a difference. Most of all I always want to make my kids proud which I felt like he was indeed.

It was a special 'aha' moment for me that I never want to forget. While you're busy teaching your kids, they are actually doing the teaching. Prime example. Thank you buddy! 😘

And p to the s to end this Lil joyful post with some humor.

Minutes after this happened a really old man came up behind us. He says hello to Wyatt and asked him if he'd been a good boy today. Wyatt answered yes, smiled, and turned to me and whispers ::loudly:: MOM, HE'S GOT BIG EARS. He pulls my hair back, looks at my ears as if comparing, and says 'REALLY BIG EARS'. Way to bring me back to reality sweetheart!!

Date day

My mom joined the kids and I for a date day! First lunch at McDonald's play place! Then we attended a local schools carnival! It was so much fun!

I've had the greatest day! I get so much enjoyment just watching them have fun!

The only thing that could've made it better was if Adam could've joined us. Darn work!

I post a lot of silly things or ornery things my kids do on this blog but I'm so thankful for them and love days like today! Its days like today that fill you up, that make your heart happy! Ya know what I mean?

Makes me think of one of my fav Johnny Cash songs:
This thing called love..
It can lift you up never let you down
Take your world and turn it around
Ever since time nothing's ever been found
That's stronger than love!
:)
Love ya babes!

Things I'm thinking about...

Instagram is trumping blogging currently as its easier and I'm lazy!

Mother Nature has been on a crazy rant the last few weeks. This normally loving of winter person is ready for SPRING!

I feel like we've been really super busy lately but we haven't done anything of great importance. We get bored and rarely sit at home. Which is dumb because we get legitally busy starting next month. Warm weather = booked schedule.

The family birthdays start this month and don't end until October! A few more milestones coming up again!

Speaking of schedule, April is stressing me out. School registrations and activities. Kindergarten round up ~How is this possible?!~ :(. Home Parties. Tball assignments! (Both kids are going to be on the same team!) :). Seriously my calendar is already over 1/2 full.

We are also starting to re-prep the house for selling, we repainted the basement last weekend. We are on the fence but wanting to commit again. We never really took it off the web but took our sign down for the winter. We are in a hard way trying to decided on where to move, throwing around a couple different towns. Until we are committed to a specific school district I won't be ready.

So that's what's up. Nothing much - kind of on idle til the crazy begins! Lookin forward to a change of pace!

Having fun in the snow!  Adams snowman on the left, mine on the right!

Hugging on the couch for 1 mintute for fighting.

Playing with their bff's

And so it starts...

I really wasn't expecting the boyfriend business from Emmersyn for a few years. ::Being that she despises boys and all:: so imagine my surprise when I arrived at the sitters to be greeted by Wyatt's all time BFF announcing himself as Emmes new Boooyyfriennddd. The both are quite proud. It's hilarious. Where they never even paid attention to each other before they are dotingly batting their eyes at one another and are all giggly! It the funniest thing ever!

Landon said to her - 'you're gonna be my girlfriend...say yes SIR'! :/. Ella put a kabosh to that quick lol! Said that's how he answers his dad but that that's NoT how we treat girls! Haha!

I'm going to have to get a picture of them so when she's older I can tell her about her antics!

Daddy's broken

Daddy day care yesterday when I got home.

Set scene: about 87 band-aide wrappers scattered all over the floor, Adam covered from head to toe in all sorts of band-aides.

When I asked what they were doing they said said 'daddy is broken, we are fixing him'. I get that. What I don't get is how the heck this whole scenario came about. Goofballs.
