Christmas

So each moment of this holiday deserves its own post - we'll see how far I get before I just start slapping some pics up :)

First was Christmas Eve! We first had been busy bees baking. we started a new tradition of delivering xmas cookies to the neighbors! i want to instill the gift of giving, kindness, and thinking of others! We spent the afternoon at the parentals. We were spoiled as usual an I received my favorite gift ever - a blog book!! What a wonderful present that my family can always have!!

We came home and watched the polar express which was so magical for the kids. We tried bed time which was an epic fail! Emmersyn was so convinced that Santa was in Town that she wouldn't even participate in milk and cookies!

Before bed though we sent Snowballs, our elf off - Santa 'lifted' his magic for a few minutes so they could hug, kiss, and hold him before bed. It was such a heartwarming experience that the kids loved!!

Then - the unthinkable happened!! RUDOLPH came to our window - we even got a picture! This created such excitement that it was midnight before these kids finally drifted off to sleep!! Wyatt was going ballistic. Screaming literally, with excitement. He even asked us if we spoke reindeer. It was my most single most favorite christmas memory EVER! And in my years I've had a lot!

We switched up our Xmas morning traditions and decided to forgo the big extended family christmas. While we were sad we didn't get to see the family it was the best decision we've made regarding the holidays. No rushing through our morning to be on the road a total of 4 hours. We know our kids are at prime age for this an we didn't want to look back and regret missing these moments! They are only little once!

It pleases me to no end to know that they remember these times at this point! I adore christmas and making it that much more special for my kids is a wonderful feeling! I think we out did ourselves this year and I can't wait to carry on these traditions and continue to create more over the top antics!
