I blog in 3's

I'm noticing a pattern - blogging in 3's.
I get behind and then I'm too impatient to wait a day or two to post. On my phone I don't have that option of post dating and I'm too lazy to log onto the computer. Whoops.

Anywho - I told Adam I'm going to try to be more myself on the blog - of course we have our cutesy moments but they ain't ALL perty, mk?

Like today, not my fav....

Vacuum clogged with God knows what, Barbie clothes? Bouncy ball? I Donno know - check

Mad about the vacuum so now decided to ignore all household duties, dishes, or laundry - check.

Dog leash tangled to oblivion - to scared to go outside in the dark to get it so let dog in and leave it - check - I could be protecting my family from an intruder - it's like a booby trap back there.

Cottage cheese served after major meltdown had by toddler - check....she ate a bite just to decide she didn't want it ' no mo'. Pretty sure she's whined and cried more tonight than the latter.

Have i ever mentioned i Love babysitter days - the kids are super presh at night following. ::totally not over exhausted, over played, and OVER bein good all day for the sitter:: ps I love the sitter - just not my kids demeanor afterwards.

Weirdly enough Wyatt has been so charming, listening and eating well tonight. Like scarily good. Is it bad that I question what he's up to?!

School starts up again tomorrow - eh we'll wing it in the a.m., don't gotta be there til 9.

Thank gosh i had a positive outlook this morning to throw together a crockpot meal otherwise we'd be SOL.

Gosh, love these days when I feel so accomplished! Another case of the Mondays perhaps?

One good thing? About to throw my supper plate in the pile of dishes and get down on some Mario with the kids til Hubs gets home - then it's Chef Ramsey's Kitchen Disasters, our guilty pleasure.

I'm scared to take a shower.

My husband and I are at war.

Full on war.

A water fight in particular, but it's not isolated so much recently.

It all started about a month ago, while showering I received a cup of ice water poured on me. My kids thought it was hilarious and joined in throwing anything they could find at me - actual cups, paint brushes, ya know...anything and everything.

I retaliated to Adam while showering with two large containers of ice water in return. AND I voice recorded the insistent which was one of my best ideas ever. It's not 'G' rated so it won't be gracing the blog.

These antics were answered with first the water being shut off - completely. I had just shampooed my hair, and I couldn't get a drop out of the faucet. I was forced to get out and try to find him - ::he was outside:: - and get him to turn it back on (lesson of the day - learn how to turn the darn water on!). I didn't trust that he was done so I literally hid in our minuscule bathroom closet. He came in just like I thought he would but swore he was Satisfied with how he got me. Finally getting back in and rinsing off he sneaks in with the garden freaking hose from outside. Not only was it muddy and messy it was obviously fa-ree-zinnng. I almost inflicted some major pain on him but I was in a compromised state. He leaves and I lept in as fast as I could to get warm and finish before he had time to do anything else. Unfortunately I was not quick enough as he lastly turned off the hot water forcing me to finish the worst shower of my life in freezing water. I thought I'd get him back this way but he told me it was dangerous to do and I could blow up the house since I didn't know what I was doing. Nice.

I tried to put food coloring (sister in laws awesome idea) and buck urine hunting spray (a gift for my redneck birthday party in case you're wondering) in his body wash but once I stopped gagging the smell was so strong And the food coloring was so bold I had to trash it. The only back fire was on me for this one because I smelled that crap all day.

He's since put snap fireworks under the toilet so when I sit it scares me half to death.

I've gotten several ideas from loved ones who are thankfully on my side for revenge including making him brownies laced with laxatives or taking uber pepper hot sauce and killing his taste buds. While I adore these ideas I'm petrified of receiving pain as a retaliation so I've not done these yet.

I'm desperate to get him back so if anyone has any ideas that aren't too mean or painful - PLEASE PLEASE enlighten me.

In which I try to one up my husband

Adam has become increasingly more domestic than I. Don't get me wrong he's a man that could, would, and has (dreaded college dorm) live in his own filth, however he's the type that's good at every.thing. And it's annoying.

He decided to cut Wyatt's hair the other day. I was sizing it up and it was annoying really good. He did leave the bangs a bit long so I was going to trim them. He promptly told me he would because he didn't want me to mess it up...I may have cussed at him ;) while he took matters into his own hands once again.

He was working yesterday and Emmersyns hair has been driving me crazy. After day 3 of her refusing a brush threw I'd had enough. I took the scissors and trimmed, just the ends. It was dreadfully uneven and all I could hear was Adams voice in my head knocking me for messing it up so I kept trimming...more and more :/. It ended up inches shorter much to daddy's (who loves long hair) dismay. But its way adorable! He even complimented it! Ah validation! Alls well until her next bath when it's laying flat and he notices the chop job I ACTUALLY did! Sorry kid, you were a part of my war to show daddy I'm just as good as him!

Out with the old in with the new 2012

NYE was spent with some of Adams family! We hosted which I was fond of - no long drive after all that fun!

Here are just a few pics from the night - miss Em missed the new year by about 1 1/2 hours! That girl loves her sleep!

It's always a good feeling to bring in a new year with lots of laughter!

Although so many wonderful things happened in 2012 I was glad to see it go! I was going to do a year on review via blog posts but I'm majorly lazy. What sums up the year was some cray cray kids who are hilarious and gross, a lot of proud mom moments of TWO preschoolers, my love for my husband has grown in a beautiful way, our relationship has shifted into a new wonderful phase. No longer newlyweds yet finding a good balance. We had a great family trip to a beach (though it might be kinda 'fake' - no FL - but awesome!)

There have been our ups and downs, minor sicknesses and financial setbacks but looking back I can see it - 2012 was all about rebuilding, settling into changes, raising growing (now school age children), laying a good foundation.

2013 is our comeback year and I cannot wait! I look for good things to come! I've got a healthy awesome family - what could get better than that?!

Happy holidays and New Year my friends!

No back to the normal per usual boring winter blogging, thank gosh! :)

Christmas

So each moment of this holiday deserves its own post - we'll see how far I get before I just start slapping some pics up :)

First was Christmas Eve! We first had been busy bees baking. we started a new tradition of delivering xmas cookies to the neighbors! i want to instill the gift of giving, kindness, and thinking of others! We spent the afternoon at the parentals. We were spoiled as usual an I received my favorite gift ever - a blog book!! What a wonderful present that my family can always have!!

We came home and watched the polar express which was so magical for the kids. We tried bed time which was an epic fail! Emmersyn was so convinced that Santa was in Town that she wouldn't even participate in milk and cookies!

Before bed though we sent Snowballs, our elf off - Santa 'lifted' his magic for a few minutes so they could hug, kiss, and hold him before bed. It was such a heartwarming experience that the kids loved!!

Then - the unthinkable happened!! RUDOLPH came to our window - we even got a picture! This created such excitement that it was midnight before these kids finally drifted off to sleep!! Wyatt was going ballistic. Screaming literally, with excitement. He even asked us if we spoke reindeer. It was my most single most favorite christmas memory EVER! And in my years I've had a lot!

We switched up our Xmas morning traditions and decided to forgo the big extended family christmas. While we were sad we didn't get to see the family it was the best decision we've made regarding the holidays. No rushing through our morning to be on the road a total of 4 hours. We know our kids are at prime age for this an we didn't want to look back and regret missing these moments! They are only little once!

It pleases me to no end to know that they remember these times at this point! I adore christmas and making it that much more special for my kids is a wonderful feeling! I think we out did ourselves this year and I can't wait to carry on these traditions and continue to create more over the top antics!

How's this for motivation

Ew. 1 degree this morning on our first day back to school and work. Not fun. I just feel like sitting under a blanket and snuggling - which is what I've done since we've got home! Now onto tackling the house and supper! Reality smacked me in the face today! :) I miss vacation already!!!
