Kids are sponges and watch everything we do. This is something I've heard and knew. But when you're living life often it doesn't dawn on you.
At Aldi's on Sunday we had a cart full. A gentleman behind us had two items so I told him to go ahead of us. Wyatt asked why I did that and I explained to him that it's kind as he had far fewer items than us.
That little boy looked straight into my eyes, said 'awwwww' and brought his face to mine and hugged me. He said that's so nice mom.
In that moment it touched me so much that he saw such a little gesture as so wonderful.
It made me feel so good and inspired me to want to do bigger and better. I want to instill kindness in my children and I too want to make a difference. Most of all I always want to make my kids proud which I felt like he was indeed.
It was a special 'aha' moment for me that I never want to forget. While you're busy teaching your kids, they are actually doing the teaching. Prime example. Thank you buddy! 😘
And p to the s to end this Lil joyful post with some humor.
Minutes after this happened a really old man came up behind us. He says hello to Wyatt and asked him if he'd been a good boy today. Wyatt answered yes, smiled, and turned to me and whispers ::loudly:: MOM, HE'S GOT BIG EARS. He pulls my hair back, looks at my ears as if comparing, and says 'REALLY BIG EARS'. Way to bring me back to reality sweetheart!!
😜
